Food Love
Wondrous Spreads, continue the collage art. Gathering from the Wilds, the gardens and the markets, we gather like our ancestors, feasting with the seasons. Celebrating Life and the great gifts of the Earth.
We feast with all of our senses.
Great is my delight into the local, the alley ash tree, the mulberry treat.
Keen am I into the ferments: pickled carrots, beets, kraut.
Elderberry Wines, preserves of all kinds.
And most in the beautiful sharing with friends and family.
Food is one of the great medicines. One with which we might empower ourselves into alignment, through our everyday choices.
What a gift it is, this food love.
And not to forget that most ancient of gatherings...
THE FEAST!
Some ten years now, I have had the spiralling honour to be part of the food preparations and system coordination of many seasonal outdoor and indoor gatherings, small and large, 50 people to 1000 people. The Blue Moon New Year Gatherings, the Ascension Gathering, the Equinox Dreamland Gatherings, The Om festival Kind Kitchen, and the March Meltdown Gathering.
And now I have had the pleasure of having my hands in the earth on the beautiful lands of Wind Whistle Medicinals...
Summer 2015 will be the 5th Season of these Gardens, and they are boomin'!
